Aloha from Hawaii

Aloha from Hawaii

Prompt : Day 3 (7 Aug/Mon) โ€“ Feature a map and write about a place either real or virtual

This place is really close to my heart! We went for our first trip as a couple to this place and, then again after a few years.

Honolulu is also called Oahu! This place is truly, paradise on earth.

You will not get tired staring at the sea, if that’s all, what you decide to do;) Waikiki is the heart of the city.

People of Hawaii are very friendly. They greet you with ‘Aloha’ (meaning hello or hi). Also, would like to add that, for ‘thank you’ the Hawaiians use ‘Mahalo’

We stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki , and we could see the diamond head from our room. Diamond head is an icon of Oahu!

A room with a view!

What all to do :

1. Pearl Harbour

2. Circle island tour

3. Swim with dolphins

4. Enjoy Waikiki

5. Fly to nearby islands

6. A lot more (go here)

Being Silly in one of the excursions ๐Ÿ˜‰

What we chose:

1. We took a day trip & covered the Pearl Harbor along with other sites of Honolulu. It was fun & tiring but never boring.

2. The next day we went for the circle island trip and that was almost a 6 hour trip.

ย Both these excursions were fun and trust me when I say that I long to go back again ๐Ÿ™‚

3.ย  Romancing the Pacific with Diamond Head in the back drop it just gives you the feel of the place! Talking about the, cruise which is amust do if you are in the place!

4. There are about a dozen of A-B-C stores in Waikiki area alone. You can buy your cold drinks, souvenirs, at times food all from this place.

When we went for our honeymoon we did fly to two other islands close by (Maui & Big Island) but the second time round we went for a very short visit so couldn’t do much!

The box is from the first trip, the pencils recent. And, I also saved myself a polythene ๐Ÿ˜›

Where to stay:

To enjoy the place, thoroughly would beย  to sleep & wake up to the waves.ย  I recommend to stay somewhere near the beach if not the beach, itself.

Pic, I took from the plane just seconds before we landed. If you look closely you can see the Diamond Head
