Hi, guys today you can read about Dr. Amrita, who shares about her blogging jouney. She also, recently started a blogging academy where youan enroll, to hone your blogging skills. Read more below:)
1) Tell us something about yourself.
Hi I am Dr.Amrita Basu Misra .I am an ENT surgeon a, teacher in Government Medical College a mommy to a six-year-old. I love gardening, reading, learning new things, and travel. I enjoy being around positive people and take active measures to avoid negative people at all costs.
2) Why did you start your blog?
I started my blog because my brain wouldn’t stop talking to me. Seriously only a very good mystery book kept the brain busy. But with a two-year-old and a full-time job, I needed something creative. Something which would keep my brain stop fretting and worrying about small stuff.
I also wanted to see if earning through blogging was a myth or a possibility. Happy to report it’s definitely a possibility but a lot of hard work. There are probably easier ways to earn money. But few which are as flexible or with such capacity for expansion with the minimum down payment. You can start blogging with your own Blog with as little investment as Rs 800.
3) As a doctor what are the challenges you face in this modern era, where patients come to you with half assessed Google knowledge?
I think Google knowledge is great. I learned everything about Blogging from Google. But while knowledge is everywhere the understanding of this knowledge needs training and experience. Like earache can be due to an ear infection, referred pain from your teeth, your jaw, your tonsils, laryngeal cancer, brain tumor and a variety of causes. Google will diligently tell you all about this .But only after examination and investigations will the cause be identified.

As a doctor, I prefer to discuss the disease with people who have actually researched it on Google. It’s much easier to counsel them about lifestyle factors. The problem in India is there is a severe gap in the doctor-patient ratio. The rural population and the poor deserve as much quality healthcare as the urban.Imagine while visiting a quaint little village in India someone has to visit a doctor in a government hospital manned by an Ayurvedic practitioner taught bridge course allopathy. Is this the right thing to do?
That is the root of the problem.I love patients who google they make my job easier. It’s the not-googling majority who are at the mercy of unscrupulous people
4) Would you recommend our readers to start a blog? Why?
I will recommend it only to those who are curious, hardworking, persistent and eager to learn. It’s a wonderful creative career opportunity. But like all subjective creative fields, there are a lot of challenges. But the rewards are great.
If you have a story to tell, an experience to share a love to explore do it o your blog.We all have something to help others with.Do it because you would love to try something new.Do it because it makes you curious and do it if you enjoy it.Anything else will be difficult.
But if you can survive the teething troubles and join our Blogging group I think we can help.
Thats what we tried to do with Super social biz Facebook group. Its one way of lending a helping hand to all those who want to start blogging.

5) What are the challenges you face as a blogger and a doctor?
Oh, I love challenges. The main challenge in both cases is getting enough exercise the right way. Thats why my walking writing setup on my treadmill has helped me.
I feel blessed every day to be on two different platforms to reach people’s hearts and souls. As a doctor and a writer, I heal through my actions and words. That is a blessing and I am deeply thankful
6) What is your take on sponsored posts in blogging?
Its one of the pillars of monetizing blogs and is wonderful if you are careful to match the brand story with your own. I prefer to work with brands whom I trust and whose message resonates with me.
