Self Love A – Admire A to Z Challenge #atozchallenge2019
Why do people find it hard to love themselves? I mean I’m sure it might sound pompous, but truly it’s not. So, for today lets see what A stands for.
A = Admire
Admire yourself!
Your strengths! Your weaknesses! Your plus points!
Your negative point!
We need to embrace it all! The good, the bad the ugly!
Be the best you can be! Forget about those who – are putting you down!
Self-love is not selfish; you cannot truly love another until you know how to love yourself. Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do. Be proud of who you are, and not ashamed of how someone else sees you. Be yourself.
But, if it’s you- who is yourself trying to push yourself down then you need to stop now!
If I’m not for me? Who is?
Start living yourself! Start admiring yourself! Admire your strengths! And, then admire some more!
5 ways to become a person who you can Admire
1 – Learn to be comfortable, with yourself and in your own skin.
2- Stop comparing yourself to others. I know it’s super duper hard, but it’s possible with time.
3- Train yourself to take everything with a pinch of salt.
4- Do not worry about what people think. Yes, they will sit & talk about you, but for how long? Gossip is a real word. But, we cannot let other people power.
5- Do not fake it, anywhere! Social media or real life, just be who you are. No one is born perfect. At least, I know I’m not.
I feel by faking it, we put ourselves in a complex. Do not do that. Be happy with what you have and work your way up.
Remember always that you not only have the right to be an individual, you have an obligation to be one.”
– Eleanor Roosevelt
No one can make us feel happy and loved unless we create the space for it inside by practicing self-love. There is a reason why we call it self-love, it’s because we can’t find it in anyone else. It is so important to accept ourselves but given in this social media age, comparison with others and faking it has become the norm. A lovely series, Z and a great start! Looking forward to your posts!
Some great pointers there, Z. I especially loved the quote and the last five tips! As I said before I could use with some self love this month!
This was a great post to start off my A-Z blog challenge. Great tips!

Getting to the end
This is a relevant question but also complicated. I guess we are a sum total of our experiences. Some have had a tough time through childhood or have complexes that are sometimes difficult to understand. But yes, self-love is definitely the best kind of love.

Admiring oneself isn’t an option. Truly, if we don’t love ourselves who else will. Self-love and self-admiration go a long way in building self-confidence too.
Loved the post Zainab! Good luck for the challenge:)
Self-love is very important in life. Nobody can love you as much as you love yourself. GReat post!
