J stands for Jazzing up your workouts
Let’s be honest, when it comes to losing weight, suddenly everything around becomes slow.
I realized that doing the same workout routine or the same food routine made me kind of feel sorry for myself.
Hence, I ‘jazzed it up’ a tad.
Here are a few things that you can do to add that jazz;)
- Change your workout routine weekly. New workouts will not only keep your body guessing, but it will also keep you motivated! I personally love HIIT workouts, because they burn calories even after the workouts over, and the speed / momentum needs to be changed constantly so it does not lead to boredom.
- As lame it may sound, but invest in cuter work-out outfits. Swap that black old sweats for a bright pink track-pant. You will, be surprised that, how much power a piece of cloth has. When you are happy with your appearance, you tend to give more than a 100%. Right ;)?
3. If you workout at home, and have access to TV/laptop then I insist to do your longer run’s with your fav soaps. Of-course, music is always the better option because it’s used more than the TV for workouts!
I most often listen to books while working out.

Some great tips here – I think having something to distract you while you workout is definitely the secret to getting through it. I have some shoulder exercises I need to do for a problem shoulder and they are done lying on the floor – I find it’s a lot easier to get through them if I’m watching TV at the same time!

Interesting post!
Jazzing up is a great idea Z and I love the thought about getting into an awesome looking work gear to exercise out!

I had to smile at your title since my favorite workouts are Jazzercise. I have a bunch (as in almost all) of their DVDs, plus many many others. That way I have a wide variety to choose from… which jazzes up my workouts.
I also change it up with the seasons. Spring begs for brisk walks and bike rides, water aerobics in the summer, and hiking (and more biking) in the fall. Winter… back to my indoor workouts and DVDs.

I think one of the reasons I enjoying hiking outside so much is that it keeps things interesting and every hike is a little different. But, you can’t always get outside. You have some good tips for keeping things “jazzed” up inside. I think updating the workout outfit is one I need to listen too. My gear is in desperate need of an upgrade. WeekendsInMaine

These are some great ideas Zainab. It is always easy if its fun. Thanks for linking up with #MMM.
Variety for the workouts is definitely important to avoid slumps. I think having a good workout partner is also, gets you going when you are down.
